My Special day with the Lord

I awoke to a most beautiful morn
With Autumn sunbeams dancing on the lawn,
The realisation as to what was in store -
The day of my Baptism, dedication to the Lord,
Extreme feelings of trust and faith
I had not known before.

The Church was buzzing with people so dear,
My children, Church family, special friends
Pouring out their love - it was all so very clear.
How I had longed for this special day -
And now it was here, for me to pray
And ask the Lord to give me strength,
Courage, His love and care
As I testified to His greatness
And to thank Him for always being there.

The wave of His Spirit was abundantly felt
And the power of His might within our hearts dwelt.
The waters of Baptism washed my sins away
And I was re-born on this perfect day.
I love you Lord with all my heart -
How true the words "How Great Thou Art".

Thank you Father - your children were touched
And moved by it all -
The joy in their hearts -
My witness to you - King of Kings, Lord of Lords -
Such a glorious day I will forever recall.
