Why are harps like elderly parents?

Both are unforgiving and hard to get into and out of cars.

Ask 10 people what they mean by prayer and the chances are that the majority will indicate something which means persuading God to do something which he would otherwise not be inclined to do, or for some reason he needed to be reminded about. Prayer is rather a means by which we engage with God in the work of his kingdom. Prayer is a readiness to rest in the presence of God, trying to look at life through his eyes, bringing our activities under his sovereign will.
