Medau Musical Movement

We all had a wonderful time at the Royal Albert Hall in September. The event was called `On Show' and there were some very good displays showing all types of music and dance. A voting actor playing the part of Billy Elliot, the musical in London, came on stage to start the whole thing off. Most moving of all were the handicap items ranging from moderately to severely handicapped. The enjoyment the participants received from performing was truly amazing.

Medau's National Display Teams item was in the second half and, although I am biased, it went down extremely well and was full of vitality and movement. We did ourselves proud. We had had a busy morning rehearsing and looking down on the other items from the top gallery which was our `dressing rooms' We then all trooped out to sit at Prince Albert's feet and ate our lunch before getting ready for the performance. A great day and we finished off by having supper in a Kensington restaurant.

We will be there again in May as the Keep Fit Association have asked for the item to be performed at their Anniversary day.

We had a great fish and chip night before Christmas and a fun time was had by all.
