We've been keeping ourselves supple throughout the summer months giving our all on Thursday nights at the Village Hall
A fun evening to raise money for the hall's charity was organised and we racked our brains over quizzes - in between stuffing ourselves with all the `goodies ' provided by class members. We all enjoy the evening very much as do our guests and as it's all for a good cause we feel that extra glow of pleasure.
Medau's participation in `On Show' at the Royal Albert Hall is in two weeks as I write. A coach will be taking spectators from outlying districts and Ramsden class to watch. There will be over 950 participants from all sort of exercise and dance classes throughout the UK and it should be a memorable day.
Three class members went to a Medau course at Bishop's Otter College in Chichester late July. We had a wonderful if fairly hectic time. - four classes a day and either singing, dancing or quizzes in the evening. I was going to read one of Bert's poems at our party night but time overtook us - hopefully next time. On an afternoon off Joan, Mavis and I went to West Dean Gardens a lovely place to walk around on a warm summer's day. It was wonderful meeting up with old friends and catching up on their news and of course having meals made for us by very pleasant staff.
We continue to keep ourselves fit despite some creaking bones and the laughs we have are a great tonic. Want to join us?
