The Village Hall Annual General Meeting took place recently. Clive Jeffree was re-elected as Chairman and he reported of all of the events that had taken place during the previous twelve months. He also told the meeting that the big project for 2006 would be to improve the car parks. This would be a large project because it would mean digging out the present surface so that when the car park is re-laid it is below the level of the halls.

The other committee members: Tony, Sylvia, Joan and Derek were all re-elected for the next twelve months.

The Meeting ended with the public vote to decide the Village Hall Charity 2006. St Luke's Hospice was successfully voted but you can see the other nominated charities by clicking on this link.

Finally, Clive Jeffree presented the Brentwood, Billericay and Hutton Branch of the Leukaemia Research Fund with a cheque for £4430. This was the largest Charity presentation ever and we would like to offer our thanks to everyone from Ramsden Bellhouse and the surrounding area who helped raise this fantastic sum.

Saturday 25th - Sunday 26th February 2006

A old and frosty day outside, but in the Village Hall. a warm friendly atmosphere pervaded. The attendance and interest was excellent, and reunions between people who had not met since childhood were delightful to see. The visitors book reflects the interest, and in some cases appreciation of the home made refreshments! Whilst it is not about making money, £415 was handed over for Village Hall Funds!

At 1pm in the Village Hall, Santa Claus arrived!

The Hall was the busiest it had ever been for a Christmas Bazaar and at one point, we had to create an emergency second refreshment room!
